1. What is “A-Project”?

The “A-Project” is a philosophical project. The “A” in “A-Project” stands for “Alpha”, i.e. the first (of its kind). It can be abbreviated into “α” or “Alpha”, for simplicity. Its purpose is to create a structured method through which one can engage in exploring reality. This includes classical Western ideas of philosophy, as well as extensions thereof, such as using arts and mysticism to inquire about things. The aim of “α” is not necessarily truth, but functions on various levels.

2. What is the structure of “A-Project”?

The structure of “A-Project” can be visualised on the index page here. It is divided into two main parts: (a) technique, (b) world. The idea is as follows: In order to inquire about things, we use our mind. In order to know how to inquire, i.e. how to use our mind, we need “technique”. And in order to inquire about things, we need to know what to inquire about, i.e. we need a “world” to explore. The first part, (a), deals with the ways of using the mind – such as language, logic and meditation. The second part, (b), deals with the world itself – such as philosophy, sciences and mysticism. First, we study the techniques, with which we can then study the world.

3. What is the relationship between “MA” and “A-Project”?

The relationship between “MA” and “A-Project” is as follows: “MA” is an abstract concept, as explained here. The works and doings related to it as called “MA Works”. Thus, “A-Project” is one example of a “MA Work”. As explained before, we could call it a “philosophical project”, but due to cultural associations with the word “philosophy”, “MA” is used, here.

4. What does “A-Project” aim at?

“A-Project” has the flexibility to provide different aims for different usages and different people. Depending on the intention, this can include: (a) truth, (b) experience, (c) therapy, (d) self-development, (e) contact, etc. Thus, it can aid in achieving understanding, increase knowledge, unravel life into stories, clarify and mend the mind, cultivate the self or create community.
