P-Project v1.0

  1. INTRODUCTION
    1. What is “P-Project”?: “P-Project” is the name of a collection of smaller projects related to philosophical and other endeavours. It is a part of the “無工”, i.e. the works related to “” (MA), i.e. inquiries into fundamental aspects of thought and the world.
    2. Why “P” in “P-Project”?: The “P” in “P-Project” stems from the arbitrarily chosen “P” of “P-System” and can mean “principal” or “philosophical”. The reason for using “P” in the project names is to differentiate them from other similar projects with similar names. “P” is a short, simple and descriptive part of a name that is easy to remember and communicate. It helps to organise various projects into similar groups.
    3. What are the parts of this “P-Project”?: “P-Project” consists of multiple smaller projects, listed below. They offer standards, protocols, collections, texts and even software tools all aimed at assisting with philosophical and similar work.
    4. How are the projects structured?: The projects are organised into at least two main logical parts: the “elements” and the “syntheses”. The idea is that fundamental parts required for the works (e.g. a vocabulary, a syntax, etc.) set the foundation of the grander project, and by combining these, new, created things can be constructed (i.e. “syntheses”, that is, synthetic things/things that were put together from smaller things, such as sentences and ontologies).
  1. PROJECT
    1. ELEMENTS
      1. P-System: A comprehensive system designed to capture thoughts in structured language using clear definitions, symbols and operations on them.
        1. P-Syntax: A collection of syntaxes designed to standardise and facilitate working with philosophical objects, logic, ontology and other subjects.
      2. P-Vocabulary: A standardised collection of terms with various properties on which every text and sentence within the projects is based.
      3. P-Concepts: A standardised collection of concepts (…)
        1. P-Glossary: (…)
      4. P-Exploration: A method and protocol designed to assist in exploring and analysing various objects such as concepts and statements.
    2. SYNTHESES
      1. P-Ontology: A standardised abstract structure where concepts from “P-Concepts” are associated and related to each other in ontological ways.
      2. P-“”-Sentences: A collection of sentences using a standardised vocabulary (“P-Vocabulary”) and syntax (“P-Syntax”) used to construct various objects such as “worlds”.
      3. P-Entries: A collection of sentences using (somewhat) standardised vocabulary (“P-Vocabulary”) and syntax (“P-Syntax”) used to explore, communicate and list various philosophical and other ideas.
        1. P-“Notes”: A sub-collection of the “P-Entries”, using a slightly different vocabulary and syntax, meant to be less structured and more free-form.
      4. ”(MA)-Commentary: A collection of texts which expand upon “P-Entries” and add other, original ideas using no standardised vocabulary and no standardised syntax, but free-form.
    3. TOOLS
      1. C-Constructor: A tool designed to assist in constructing concepts using a standard architecture used for “P-Concepts”.
      2. Conclusion Calculator: A tool designed to explore logical consequences.
      3. Decision-Tree Calculator: A tool designed to explore problems, decisions and decision-trees.
      4. Argumentation Calculator: A tool designed to explore arguments.
